Pia has problems with her digestion again when we wake up in the Amari Vang Viang in Vang Vieng, Laos.
After a good breakfast in the hotel, Pia does not lack an appetite, she takes medicine again because we leave today for Vientiane.

We would be picked up at 9:20 and the bus would leave at 9:30. But we are only picked up at a quarter to ten at the hotel with a golf cart. And the bus leaves at a quarter past ten.
It is now a large bus, with the luggage at the bottom or on the roof, and plenty of space to sit.
At half past one, after a short lunch break, we are in Vientiane, after a ride on not too steep slopes, but with many bumps in the road.
We take a taxi to the hotel, La Seine Hotel by Burasari.

The reception in the hotel is very friendly and the hotel itself has a nice appearance. The reception and lobby are very stylish. And we get a welcome drink.
The room is very spacious, modernly decorated, with a large bathroom. And there is even a coffee machine.

When we have unpacked, we walk a bit through Vientiane. It looks like a Thai provincial capital, and there is a lot of demolition and a lot of construction. We don't see that many Western visitors.
We see a night market under construction along the Mekong.
We eat in a small restaurant, Papao Restaurant, where the food tastes good. Then we watch the night market, there is not much difference with night markets in Thailand.

When we get back to the hotel we have a drink on the roof terrace. The view over Vientiane is beautiful, but both beer and wine are very expensive.
